Got another set of reports on herring in SF pier 52. Got boat ready and off we go launching in SF. Did not do too good but got some.
Sausalito Herring January 19 2022
Got a call from Alex R and there were some reports of herring from shore in Sausalito. Dropped everything and went for a long ride in the middle of the night. Herring did not come at all. At least I practiced throwing cast net.
Half Moon Bay Perch January 8 2022
Decided to switch gear and try for perch with friends on the beach. Learned how to dig for ghost shrimp and blood worms. Everything seemed OK except the biting perch. It did not show itself at all. Ocean is always cool to be at. When with Victor and Alex R.

Tide were too good not to go since I was still on the shutdown. Spent 3 hours on the incoming fishing on ghost shrimp. Nada. Some guys caught a small sturgeon. We did not get a bite.
