Super bowl day. I was not too interested. Wanted to catch a sturgeon!
Yesterday’s celebration was inspiring so we decided to go.
Ruslan X tagged along since he is new to this fishing and area. Got bait, bikes, food, water, car and off with Sonya we go!
Got there around 12 PM. Yuri joined us. Ruslan walked to the fishing ground. Dropped two rods. It was about 3 hours into the outgoing tide.
First bite came in 5 minutes into it. Nice good solid bite. Fish ON! From shore! Myself! Awesome!
Reeled it it. Gear played nicely. Ruslan filmed the battle. Yuri help with getting the fish in. Video is in the group. Nice! 44 inched tagged on Sonya’s stamp.
Kept fishing. Next bite came at 3:30 PM. Another good solid sturgeon bite on ghost and grass combo. Fish on!
Great fight. A little smaller fish. Still legal 42 incher! Had to go all the way into the mud to get it!
Epic day fishing! Doubt I will ever repeat such success from shore.
Two bites. Two fish! Got checked by ranger on the way back. All cool.
